As opposed to Adobe FrameMaker, I used Microsoft Word to create this short user guide. This project is where I became familiar with the best practices of technical writing.

I learned that technical writing requires attention to detail in all aspects, not simply where it may be convenient. Practices such as redundancy, consistency and layout took new meanings.

I carried this information with me to my full-length user guide to create something much better.
