Citation Best Practices
A learning module I created for new university students on best citation practices.
Through my years as an English & Professional Writing major, I was constantly warned of the consequences of plagiarism.
Thankfully, my program provided me with the tools to avoid this and I felt it necessary to help others in the pursuit of proper referencing.
I wanted to share the knowledge I gained so that others never felt the need to plagiarize either purposefully or accidentally.
My module involved the best practices for citing sources, repositories for reliable journals, explanations of different types of plagiarism, and a few applications for citation management.
I took the time to study the principles of andragogy as to fully engage my learners with responsive activities, well-thought-out questions, and meaningful quizzes. Additionally, these principles assisted me in ensuring a high degree of accessibility for my viewers.
