MAID Law Amendment

The amendment concerned instating ‘mental illness’ as a viable reason for assisted death. In my article, I interview a number of medical professionals for their input on the topic.

First-hand experience taught me how important it is to handle a difficult topic with care. Respect and decorum were essential for this project.

I found myself faced with complicated situations and strong opinions, of which I decided to included only a few. Internalizing information in this way made me realize what was relevant and what was fluff – I learned how to sift through to the heart of a topic.
